44th north sea operators' Claims Conference postponed to October 2022
Dear All,
We hope that you are all safe and well despite the pandemic which is still influencing our lives and businesses.
We thank you for giving us your feedback as to whether you would be prepared to attend a conference in October 2021 if at the time, it would be safe to travel and attend the conference. As a successful NSOCC depends on the support from our delegates and speakers, we did unfortunately not receive sufficient positive feedback to be reassured that we could successfully organise the 44th NSOCC in October 2021.
Furthermore, after discussing the issue with our hosts, Color Line, we have also learned that there are still quarantine requirements for entering Norway unless you have a Norwegian or EU-approved vaccine certificate confirming that you are fully vaccinated. As this will prevent many of our delegates and speakers from attending a conference in October 2021, it is with regret that the board of NSOCC have decided to postpone the 44th NSOCC until 2022 when we hope the pandemic restrictions will have been lifted allowing us to safely travel and attend the conference.
We will together with our host monitor the situation and be prepared to organise the conference, which is already prepared, as soon as it is safe and practical to do so. We are also grateful to Color Line who have confirmed that they will be ready to host this event anytime in 2022.
We are sorry for the disappointment another postponement of the 44th NSOCC represents for our hosts, delegates, speakers and indeed the board of NSOCC, but we hope to have your understanding that these unprecedented circumstances are outside our control and that the safety of everybody involved is our main priority.
We hope to update you with some positive news of the 44th North Sea Operators Claims Conference soon.
Please take care and stay safe and we look forward to seeing all of you in 2022.
Kind regards,
Rune Dybedal
Chairman NSOCC
